Rapid teeth loss
June 9, 2026

My daughter turned 8 in March and she has almost all of her permanent teeth already. She went for a dentist visit when she was 6 and I told the dentist that she have her permanent comer teeth, the dentist was at a lost. She just lost her 2 bottom incisors a few days ago and only has 2 top ones left.

Parental relief and reset
May 30, 2026

Just met up. With our 6yr old's tendency to shade the truth or to outright lie. We do not, of course, want to see the behavior become the easy out paired with "same time " throwing anger if they're questioned about it.
I got very frustrated and not happy about this little event, and only made it bigger by handling it while miffed, 🙄
Time out was called for chair time, while i looked with hope to find some better solutions on the web. I found this site and they're very helpful tools to deal with this event.
It helped me to calm down very quickly, to back off and to invite this kiddo to run some errands with me, then spend some special time visiting with grandpa. Grandpa is a lawyer and has a very calming way of handling things like this with with the person who needs to get a handle on what it means to be honest and and to treat situations and people with respect.
Grandpa is also a favorite person of theirs.
I know that not everyone has this kind of individual in their family, but if you do let them be of a big part of this kiddos understanding of life if they're better at it than you, and let them be at the lead.
What we all want as parents and grandparents and people who love our little ones, is for those little ones to grow up with the understanding that their behavior is their voice. We all want our children to be smart, kind, caring, and ultimately wise with their choices of friends, their choices of their own behavior and their understanding that we're all in the same living space and we all want to be healthy and successful as we go through life.
That last part may be getting ahead of things, but that is, nonetheless, part of our ultimate goals.
This site provided a good opportunity to for me to gain a quick hold on myself with understanding and self-check
I appreciate this "touch" very much.

My three Year Old
May 10, 2026

My sughter is three, too hyper, too talkative, helpful but at times annoying though. She's now developed a tendency of wanting me to sing to her or read a book before she slaps. Or ask for my phone so she could watch her favorite cartoon.
Otherwise, thank you for his.

I just sleep-trained my baby for the first time and feeling overwhelmed, I decided to do some extra research while he's sleeping. I read specifically the article on 7 month olds and it honestly made me feel relieved. I feel like the information felt very accurate as well.

Loved the tips!
February 28, 2026

I'll definitely be putting some of these tips into practice as I deal with my 3 year old and 1 year old. Both are at different stages, experiencing separation anxiety in different ways but some of these tips may be helpful for both such as developing a routine when I leave, letting them know I'm about to go and keeping nighttime sessions boring so they go back to sleep.
