Years ago I started taking nutritional supplements but got little results. Possibly because I was finding the least expensive items. Finally I found CL and it changed everything. From my first purchase from the CL top/approved list, my body started responding positively. Thank you CL for your great work! I've also seen results in others by recommending these products and the web service.
Your reviews of different supplements are very thorough and cover what the supplement is used for, its contraindications (what it causes)and what it does. More than that your reviews describe the specific uses the supplement does. Dose levels are also described for each use. Your reviews are the most complete of any reviews I have seen, including the information available in the PDR - the drug description given in the Physicians Desk Reference that comes along with all prescription drugs. You do for non prescription supplements more than the PDR does for prescription drugs.
I occasionally look at this site when ordering existing products I buy or investigating new ones
Thank you for sharing this. We’re glad to hear that ConsumerLab has been a helpful resource when you’re choosing products you already use or looking into new ones.
We appreciate you being a ConsumerLab member.

I read the reviews every time they come out. So valuable and most importantly-so, so trustworthy!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We’re so glad to hear that you find the reviews valuable and trustworthy.
That trust is exactly what we work hard to earn through independent testing and careful research, so your note means a lot to us.
Thank you for being a ConsumerLab member.
Best,

I have been following Consumer lab for decades. They have saved me from bodily injury more than once. I recently found that the chocolate I was consuming every single day for three years contained a large amount of cadmium. I was already seeing changes in my Blood Work, but didn't know the cause. I have seen better Blood Work since I stopped the chocolate. The information that Consumer lab gives us is life-saving.
……. Pretty sure you wouldn't anyway, but please do not share my last name or my email address
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It truly means a lot to hear that ConsumerLab has helped you make safer choices over the years.
I’m very sorry to hear about your experience with the chocolate, but I’m glad you were able to identify a possible source of concern and that your blood work has improved since stopping it. This is exactly why independent testing is so important. Consumers often have no way of knowing what may be in a product unless it is tested.
And of course, we will not share your last name or email address. If we ever use your comment publicly, we would only do so in a way that protects your privacy.
Thank you again for your kind words and for being a longtime ConsumerLab follower.
Regards,
Dawn
I am dissatisfied with the level of communication I receive from CL. When I send emails with questions, I often do not receive a response, which is frustrating. Additionally, I would like to see a more proactive approach in identifying emerging products and trends. This could include scouting influencers on social media and evaluating newer products being discussed in the market. CL appears to rely heavily on previously tested products rather than staying current with newer offerings. While I do appreciate the effort to share recent studies, many seem to be minor updates of older research and do not sufficiently address newer products now available. Your customer wants product information and reviews that are relevant and popular today, not from years ago. (And yes, I submit all answers to questions about products I am currently using). I am hesitant as to whether I will continue my subscription. Regards, Linda
Hi Linda,
Thank you for sharing this feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been dissatisfied with the level of communication, especially if you’ve submitted questions and did not receive a response. I understand how frustrating that can be, and I appreciate you taking the time to explain your concerns.
We also appreciate your point about staying current with newer products and trends. ConsumerLab does continually look at products that are popular, newly released, frequently requested by members, or being widely discussed. Member submissions are one of the ways we identify products for future testing, so your product suggestions are valuable.
That said, we do want to clarify one important point. While we monitor trends and consumer interest, we do not rely on influencers as a measure of product quality. Many influencers are paid or otherwise incentivized to promote products, and their recommendations are often based on marketing relationships rather than independent evidence or testing. ConsumerLab’s role is different. We independently purchase and test products to verify quality, ingredient levels, contamination concerns, labeling accuracy, and other factors that consumers cannot easily evaluate on their own.
We understand that members want information on products that are relevant today, not just products that were popular years ago. We are always working to balance updated testing of established products with newer products entering the market, especially in fast-moving categories.
Your feedback has been noted, and we will continue to use member requests and market trends to help guide future testing priorities.
Thank you again for taking the time to write.

I have a membership... but it seems all the emails I get bring me back to regurgitated product test, without anything new. What am I paying for?
I have used Consumer Labs for several years now and I find it to be worth the cost of membership. Although some testing is done on natural sourced supplements (as opposed to synthetic)I would like to see more as those are the type that I use.
I bought it a couple of months ago as it was top rated it now shows there's a new formula. I wish I could have a rating on the current one as I use it every day and have a large supply on hand.
I depend on ConsumerLab for unbiased evaluation of OTC dietary supplements. The few supplements I use are always CL's top picks. CL saves me time and money. I recommend CL to everyone I know. Thank you, CL!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful note and support. We are very glad to hear that you find ConsumerLab helpful and trustworthy, and that our reviews have helped save you time and money. It means a great deal to us that you recommend ConsumerLab to others.
Use it all the time to help me make good decisions! Great honest information!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate your support and are so glad to hear that ConsumerLab has been helpful to you in making good decisions. That is exactly what we strive for.
Core facts should be summarized. If someone wants to check the research, they can go further into the subject, but we should not have to fight through so much information to get to the point, good or bad.
Vince Tedone MD
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, Dr. Tedone. We appreciate you taking the time to share it. Your point about making the core facts easier to get to is well taken, and we will share your comments with our team as we continue working to improve clarity and usability.
This is the only source I trust for information on vitamins a supplements since it is the only resource that tests them
Thank you so much for your trust and kind words. We’re honored to be your go-to source for information on vitamins and supplements. Our independent testing is central to our mission, and it means a lot to know that this is what makes ConsumerLab valuable to you. We truly appreciate your support.
Excellent experience in receiving trustworthy info on safety and performance of consumer goods
Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re so glad to hear you’ve had an excellent experience and find our information trustworthy. Providing reliable insights on safety and performance is at the heart of what we do, and we truly appreciate your support.
My experience with ConsumerLab has been noteworthy. ConsumerLab is my go to source when it comes to supplements and products that I am contemplating purchasing. Before purchasing I check to see if a particular product has been tested by ConsumerLab, if not I check to see what products are recommended. I am grateful that ConsumerLab provides this service so that I am not ignorant in regard to products that do not live up to the hype or claims of the manufacturer.
ConsumerLab provides a much needed service to consumers during times of advertising overload.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. We’re really glad ConsumerLab is your go-to resource when you’re deciding what supplements and products to buy. Helping people avoid products that don’t live up to the hype, and feel confident about what they choose, is exactly why we do what we do. We truly appreciate your support and are grateful to have you as part of ConsumerLab.
I use your site to determine what supplements are the best ones to buy and I appreciate that greatly. However, several times when I have sent queries about something I have received no response.
Very useful information - just wish you covered more brands
The reviews and details are very informative and useful.
The number of products reviewed in a specific category sometimes seems like to small of a sampling.
On 12/23/25 I submitted a question and there was no response.
A lot of us buy one item and never buy that item again, so we don't have any experience with it. It's nice to have a website where someone else has done all the legwork and research, and we can make an educated choice.
Thank you for your comment. Because many products are one-time purchases, it helps to have independent research available. That’s exactly what we aim to provide.
Consumer Labs is such an important part of my life. The reports have helped my health by explaining lots of topics that relate to supplements, foods, and my own particular health problems. There is information I get here that I wouldn't find anywhere else and wouldn't even know to look for.
Thank you for sharing this. It means a lot to hear ConsumerLab has been genuinely helpful to your health and that the reports have helped connect the dots between supplements, foods, and your specific concerns. We work hard to provide practical information you can’t easily find elsewhere, and we really appreciate your support.
Answer: Hi Denise, We have actually covered this topic on our website https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/does-prevagen-really-improve-memory/prevagen-memory/.
Answer: Hi - We don't charge every month; just a single charge for a 1-year or 2-year subscription as noted on the page where you joined. We show the calculated cost per month for reference, so you can see that the 2-year subscription is less expensive. If you would like to cancel, please email [email protected] with your name and email and we will process your request (typically within 1-2 business days).
Answer: Hi Frank - I believe you are referring to the review of ConsumerLab from 2004 Journal of the Medical Library Association. Our content and website have continued to expanded annually and membership has increased over those 16 years. The current 1-year membership is $47.40, or $78 for 2-years (an 18% savings off the 1-year rate).
Answer: Hi Bob - As a subscriber, you are entitled to print out a copy of the report (or any pages thereof) for your personal use. However, we don't permit copying or distributing our content, which is proprietary.
Answer: Not yet, but we may next year. We have written about PQQ: https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/is-pqq-similar-to-coq10/what_is_PQQ/
Answer: Hi Theresa - As noted on our site, we permit subscribers to print a copy of our reports for their personal use, but we do not permit not copying or downloads. If you were somehow able to download content from our site, it is quite possible that it would only work while your membership was current.
Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
Answer: Hi Barbara - You can give a gift membership to ConsumerLab.com from this page: https://www.consumerlab.com/giftcerts/. We have a link to this at the bottom of every page, but the font is a bit small. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for sharing this. We’re very glad to hear that you find the supplement reviews thorough and useful.
Our goal is to give members clear, practical information about what supplements are used for, potential concerns or interactions, and dosing information when available, along with independent product testing. Your comparison to the PDR is incredibly meaningful, and we truly appreciate it.
Thank you for being a ConsumerLab member.
