How FR8Star Works
1. Build the load. Customers tell FR8Star about their load, including its origin and shipping destination.
2. Get an instant estimate. Customers request firm bids from the transport companies. FR8Star provides instant estimates at no charge to the customer. Estimates are supplemented by FR8Star's wide array of transport companies and up-to-date industry data.
3. Compare transport bids. Bids placed are completely transparent, with prices reflecting the total cost to move the shipment, so there are no hidden cost...

Since i was new to all of this and it was my first experience with the necessity of hiring someone to haul for me, I don't know what I would have done without fr8star. They were VERY attentive, professional and their follow-up contacts were (and I can think of no other word) OUTSTANDING! I have never experienced customer service such as they provided.
Customer Service was outstanding - they walked me through much of the process as this is my first time scheduling Freight outside of my own employer - they were helpful with phone calls and email and very responsive,.
The one downside is that any bid that is posted is not locked in until you accept the bid offer - so if you ask any questions via the chat message board - the bidding company can change their bid (often times increasing the rates) - Because of my delay in getting the item procured, one of the bidders I was actively talking to removed their bid entirely - causing me to have to select the next lowest bidder, and therefore having to pay more - by forcing the bid to stay binding at least for 5 or 10 days once its posted to the site would ensure the shipper isn't being taken for a ride.
I will totally use F8Star again in the future.

From the time that I put the load out for bids, Everyone (ALex) has been nothing but helpful, I received several bids on the load to haul and I had questions about some issues and the questions were answered and I am waiting on my delivery tomorrow.
Process was fairly simple. We had 6 responses within two days, chose the company we were comfortable with and now we are waiting to see how they handle our load.
