I've only been using Ibotta for almost 2 months. I'm getting more back from Ibotta than Fetch. I keep asking everyone I know if they are using it. If not, I'm trying to hook them.
To me Ibotta is great! The app is super easy to use and self explanatory. You get free cash back on products you're going to buy anyway, things you use in your every day life, so why wouldn't you use Ibotta? It's simple, go buy what you need then go find it on Ibotta and just scan your receipt. Its that easy, then "boom" your free cash will appear in your account in minutes! Thanks Ibotta!

It's good but when you scanning in the store and then you come home and stand the product to submit it to y'all it's always rejecting it and it's the same amount but you don't get the money for it you just let it go and if you haven't linked to your account you should be checking and make sure the products is there I.
Too many weird brands and not enough name brands. Get more variety in the any item category. Cat food seems to be all there is lately.

I use Ibotta but note that sometimes an item will be listed as eligible, but when you scan the receipt later, it will not be eligible. Suggest always scanning the item at the store to be sure it counts, if you are making a purchase to get the savings. Very frustrating that it is not always clearer. When I went to post this, I was asked if I contacted Customer Service first -- good luck finding a way to communicate with them via email!
I have used other apps that give refunds quicker but Ibotta has the biggest range of offers so I can usually get at least a few. More offers on daily products like cereal and batteries, not just gourmet stuff.

I use Ibotta to save a little on groceries, and personal care items that I typically purchase at my favorite stores. You have to be quick because sometimes the offers disappear while you're trying to get them, and I often miss out because the specific item is out of stock with the retailer. In addition, no receipt for cash back on shipped items, and email conformations aren't accepted.

When I submitted my receipt for the rebate, which was clear as day, the rebate didn't go through. Last week on 5/21/26, it was the same issue when I submitted receipt for the gas rebate. I'm glad this week that I Ibotta reviewed my receipt and seen that it qualified for the rebate.
I purchased 3 bags of Lays and 1 bag of Doritos and did not get my credit. My receipt clearly shows I made the purchase and I scanned the bar codes but the system wouldn't accept them.
More often than not, when I buy multiple items (and up to 3 or 5 are usually allowed), it only credits me for buying one of each item. Even when i scan the barcodes like it says to do, I still don't get the right amount back.
While most rebate submissions go smoothly, sometimes seemingly simple in-store transactions get hung up for unexplained reasons. When reported, I'm forced to wait 3 days before help ticket is issued, & even longer to resolve. This leads to frustration, lost bonus opportunities & giving up for periods of time.

I scanned my receipt and thought all eligible items were automatically credited but I was incorrect but they check for missing items and let you know so you can still claim them! That's great customer service!

I don't use the Ibotta app very often anymore because I always get notifications that my receipt cannot be read. It seems to be more trouble than it is worth. It is why I won't refer a friend!

It is fun every couple of days looking to see what the new offers are and making money back on items that I utilize on a regular basis.

The app will have a product listed for cashback and then it'll disappear from the app. Also, it's not accounting for products that are clearly listed as cashback products and shown on the receipt, but it will not issue me the cashback, even if I scan it in the system it still won't show me cashback.

I scan my receipts! All I want to do is scan my receipts. I don't understand how to upload my receipts. Every time I try to upload my receipts Ibotta says they can't read it which is bull$#*!

Not user friendly. Hard to determine if you get cash back on a store or specific items. The way I read it is that a store gives cash back. I upload receipt and get nothing. Hard to find how to link multiple loyalty accounts. I still have some stores I should be able to and I can't. Just flustered.

Answer: Absolutely so true! I earned up just over $100 and when I went to cash out they said I was fraudulent YET I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT and all submissions were valid. It took me months to get to this amount. Hmmmmm Class action anyone?

Answer: I tried to withdraw money for the first time and it said my account was locked because of multiple attempts which was not true.! I sent 5 requests for help in a week and they finally responded by deactivating my account and keeping the 360.00 that took me months to accumulate. They claim I tampered with a date on a receipt and I just crossed off the account number. So they can keep my money that is mine. How can I get my money back?
Answer: Sorry Jenna bit it seems like you're kinda late for that rebate a few years actually. I'm pretty sure that ibotta have 100% absolutely forgot about you and by not I'm sure you forgot about too. :)
Answer: Go to your $amount and cash out and it will say bank or gift card.
Answer: Why don't any product receipts add extra bonus for us?
Answer: You have to email the morons that run their customer support at least 3 times before you'll get the proper amount credited to your account.
