We ordered 4 Peggy Martin roses. We were so excited, as The Sill was the only place I could find any. Upon arrival, 1 of the 4 looked very "sick". The roots were stringy and looked nothing like the other 3, which had heavily packed soil/roots. After planting these, we have watered and treated these with extreme care. The sick plant has turned completely crisp and doesn't look like it is going to make it. We went today to our local nursery to replace it (they just got a shipment of Peggy Martins in right after we ordered online). This is my other issue: at our local nursery, their PM roses are 2 to 3x bigger/taller with rose blooms all over them. They were only $35 each. The ones we purchased here are very small with no blooms and we paid $100 each for them. I feel like we did not get our money's worth on our plants and ended up having to replace one within the first 2 weeks of receiving.
Pot arrived cracked, it was easy to contact support and they were able to remedy the problem immediately and my new pot arrived very quickly, thanks!
All my plants came in beautiful condition. One of them was sent wrong variation, they responded within minutes to my email and offered me a gift card or to send me the correct plant. Excellent customer service.
Awesome. I've purchased from The Sill a couple of times just recently. One was a gift delivered out of state. The others were for me. Delivered healthy plants in a timely manner. There was one hiccup when two plants I ordered as a bundle along with pots. The pits arrived but the plants never did. I brought it to their attention and it was taken care of IMMEDIATELY! Awesome products and service.
You folks kept to everything you said you would The second Snake Plant brings a smile to my face every time i look at her, or even think about her. She is the loveliest plant of this type. She has zero blemishes, meaning all her leaves are perfect, no scratches, nothing odd, just plain beauty. She also has three, yes three pups starting. What a pleasant surprise. I've given her a prominent place among my other plants. Many thanks for everything. I will be looking to buy more plants from you folks very soon. Blessings, eileen
The flower was supposed to arrive on June 1st but did not arrive until June 2nd. That put the plant under undo stress and some of its flowers died as a result.
The title says it all. I've ordered a number of plants from The Sill and only had issues with one, a fussy Calathea, that got shocked on its way to me. They were great about refunding me for that purchase. On my most recent order, I purchased a Monstera Swiss Cheese and a Fiddle Leaf Fig plant. Both arrived quickly in excellent condition and are adapting nicely to their new home. Thank you! :)
I received my order very quickly via 2-day FEDEX. The Wisteria was packaged very securely and there was no damage to the plant en route. I have followed the unpacking instructions and put it out in a shady area of our garden for 2 weeks watering everyday. Despite our swings of temperatures as of late in the Chicago area, the Wisteria has remained healthy and is already blooming. I did have to cover it a few nights where we had frost/freeze warnings. It's a stunning plant. I cannot wait to get it planted in a larger container with trellis and enjoy watching it grow for years to come! Thank you!
This plant showed up in observably, poor shape, with pruned leaves and brown spots, and it only continued to deteriorate. Not even four or five days of owning this plant and I'm in savior mode. Not pleased.
Delivered on time and the plant was in great shape. Kudos to the applied packaging technology put to work here for a safe arrival!
Easy to order and send, gift recipient loved it!
Our tree arrived perfectly packed and was delivered with care. The roots were a little torn up, but I expect that from travel. Potted the tree after a few days of letting it sit in its new location and will transfer to a larger pot with drainage soon. MAKE SURE YOU GET PLANTING ROCKS for the bottom of the planter, there is no drainage.
First time to order roses online, so I was a little nervous. After reading all the posive reviews, I decided to give it a try. The packaging was amazing! I'm so happy with my Peggy Martin climbing roses. Great experience with The Still. Thank you!
My order was delayed, so I contacted customer service. They offered several options, but in the end the original order was delivered in good condition.
I found the website very problematic. Everytime you clicked on the product you couldn't get it for the price first shown. The lesser priced ones weren't available or it had to be in a certain pot that was not a preferred pot.
The plant was perfect and arrived beautifully, unfortumately the pot was cracked but The Sill customer service was spectacular and fixed it immediately.
Love reading about the tips for caring for my plants and had a great experience with using the chat option to talk to customer service about care
The ceramic pot i received is so pretty. The Areca Puifying Fern did not arrive in the best shape. I reached out to see what they would recommend. 12 of the leaves came with big black spots. Since then, I had to remove 10 additional leaves. It looks rather skinny now. I am hoping it will make it.
The experience was great until the end. Now I'm receiving multiple email asking if the order was delivered and pressure to complete this survey. I love the plants.
Lighten up on this part.
The delivery of the tree and the planter for it were meant to come on the same day however, only the planter showed up, and it was clear that the tree which was delivered the following day had been somewhat damaged and the planter itself was very disappointing. It was a costly item and looks and feels very cheap. I contacted customer service who said that I needed to pay for shipping back in order to process a refund, but as I'm on the West Coast, the cost to ship the package back cost more than the planter itself. I wish I went to my local nursery because that would've been far more straightforward.
I had three plants arrive very dead in a row and then got a store credit. I am using the store credit now, but if the plant arrives dead I think I won't bother returning it.
