Uber Reviews Summary

Uber's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from a perceived lack of reliable customer service and transparency in pricing. Many customers express frustration over unexpected charges, inadequate support during issues, and poor communication from drivers and the company itself. Positive feedback is scarce, with some drivers noting satisfactory earnings and enjoyable interactions with passengers. However, the overwhelming sentiment highlights a need for improved customer care and accountability, as many users report feeling abandoned and undervalued, leading to a growing trend of customers seeking alternatives to Uber's services.

Great scam they have going on with drivers
June 8, 2026

Uber has this great new scam going on. They get drivers (for Uber Eats) to sign up for a "Quest", which is to take a certain amount of deliveries with under a certain amount of cancellations. When you complete the quest, you're paid an additional $49 to $100, depending on the quest you signe up for.

As soon as you sign up for one, the app immediately starts to malfunction. It won't let you mark deliveries as picked up. It says you aren't at the location, even though you have the food right in your hand. When you contact support, the only way to resolve the issue is to allow them to cancel the order. You now have a cancellation that's on your account. I had 3 such cancellations last night and now 2 more, due to the glitchy app.

Support also refuses to remove the cancellations, even when you deliver the food to the customer - which is what happened last night. I did the 3 malfunctioning deliveries, support marked them as delivered, and then they showed up as cancellations on my account that were made by me. WTF? I didn't cancel them. All I did was ask support to mark them as delivered.

When I contacted support, they said there was no way they could remove them - even though it shows I delivered the items and was tipped for them.

So, this is obviously a way for Uber to make promises, get their drivers to take these deliveries, and then not pay them the bonus.

In every situation where I've ever had to contact Uber support, it's clear they don't care at all about the drivers. They're happy to abuse them. This isn't so with DoorDash. Dash really goes the extra mile to help drivers whenever there's a delivery issue.

Parys drivers $1.50 per deliver, even if you drive 20 miles. The only way you can make any decent money is by Uber expecting customers to pay an hefty tip. And yet, the CEO is a billionaire. He couldn't care less about the people he uses to make his fortune.

False accusations and complete lack of support
April 12, 2026

I have used Uber only twice in my life, and after that I received a message from support accusing me of making a racist statement.

First of all, the message was in French, even though my app language is set to English.
Secondly, they sent me some legal/policy references related to France, while I live in Switzerland.

When I contacted support asking to clarify:

What exactly happened
When it happened
Who I supposedly said something to

—I did not receive a single clear answer.

Support only replied with generic, automated phrases like:
"We understand this is frustrating" and
"We are required to act on such reports."

At the same time, when I asked for details, they claimed it was "confidential information."

So essentially, the service:

Makes serious accusations
Provides no evidence
Completely ignores attempts to clarify the situation

I have never in my life made any racist or offensive statements. In fact, I don't even talk to drivers at all.
My entire interaction is always limited to:
"Hello" "Thank you" "Have a nice day."

I repeated this to support multiple times, and was simply ignored.

It is especially absurd that the company claims to follow anti-discrimination policies, while at the same time falsely accusing users without providing any information or proof.

My conclusion:
Completely incompetent support, automated responses, and zero respect for customers.

Extremely disappointed. I will not be using this service again.

In San Pedro Marcoris 4 Uber drivers cancelled on me when I said no to their messages demanding I pay an additional 800 pesos to make a short trip in addition to the price I was paying in the app. This is against Ubers policy but evidently they are getting away with it. Personally I would avoid the city in the future

Subject: Lost iPad in Uber Ride – Urgent Assistance Needed

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to report a lost item and request urgent assistance.

On November 23,2025, at 8:14 AM, I took an Uber ride from my home at 3354 Meadowside Drive, Sachse, TX to 6777 Kiest W, Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my iPad in the vehicle.

Approximately three hours later, I contacted the driver, PJ, at +1 *******786. He confirmed that he had found my iPad and promised to return it as soon as possible.

However, despite waiting for three days, the item was never returned. I attempted to call him again through the Uber app, but received no response. After multiple unanswered calls, I was surprised to find my phone number blocked.

I also sent several messages to Uber Customer Service online, but to date, I have not received any reply.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of support and communication from Uber. This experience reflects poorly on your company's professionalism and customer service standards.

I kindly urge Uber management to intervene and ensure the return of my iPad promptly.

Sincerely,
Jare Oyekale

No customer service
October 21, 2025

Needed customer service so located telephone number on Google. Come to find out it's a scam. They ended up using my credit card in uber account and taking out $100.00. Of course unable to contact Uber. Found customer service on their app and no one contacted me back for over 24 hours and when I answered I had to wait another 24 hours for a 1 sentence response. They don't care. No customer service and there are scammers who have hacked into our accounts with actual Uber. Cancel everything with them, they don't care and very unsafe

Uber=truffa
June 29, 2025

Ho utilizzato Uber a Valencia dall'hotel all'aereoporto.

Uber - Screwber
June 12, 2025

On Reddit, have not read one positive comment aboout Uber. Not one. Full disclosure, I no longer use the "service." Right after I received a receipt that included a charge for a "reservation fee," a "booking fee," and mysterious, undefined "statutory fees." The con even charges a "fee" for accessing "fees."!@*+? See receipt. The fees literally made up 75% of the charge. Now note, Screwber does not split the "fees" with the driver - pocketing 100% of the grift. This is not your grandma's Uber. This company treats it customers' wallets with all the mercy of a hungry polar bear. What use to be an inexpensive convenience has bloated into an overpriced scam of "fees." "When people show you who they are, believe them." Maya Angelou. Greed-ber has shown us who it is - believe it.

Poor shopper experience, ordered Thrifty's grocery delivery. Shopper couldn't find 4 items. I found them going to the same store 10 minutes after the poor delivery. I could have just shopped myself.

Absolutely shocking! Driver messing about driving everywhere with my food which meant my food was disgustingly cold and I have many items missing! I refused the order and the driver shouted at me in front of my children aggressively and slammed my house door in my face. I then contacted uber for a refund and they refused. I have had no apology or any compensation. I ordered nearly 30 pounds worth of food. Do not ever come to this company. They are incompetent to the core.

I have been using Uber in Qatar for a long time, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating, particularly when it comes to fraudulent charges and lack of customer support. On multiple occasions, I noticed unauthorized deductions from my ATM card, even when I hadn't booked a ride and was sitting at home.

Despite reporting these incidents several times and being reassured that I would receive a refund or compensation, nothing was ever done. The so-called customer support is unresponsive and provides nothing but automated replies and empty promises. It's beyond frustrating to deal with a company that refuses to take accountability for its mistakes while continuing to exploit customers.

After repeated disappointments, I finally decided to delete the Uber app altogether and switch to local taxi services in Qatar. At least with them, I don't have to worry about random deductions from my account or being ignored when I need assistance.

Uber Qatar has proven to be unreliable, dishonest, and utterly unprofessional. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I highly recommend avoiding this service at all costs.

Their service is a fraud
February 8, 2025

If possible I would give them less than 1 star. They are a fraud. The app asks for you to enter your location and provides you with restaurants in your area. However, once you select the restaurant they dont honor the location you have selected and placed your order within a near distance. One will not be receiving a refund if one cancels the order because according to customer service they have many reasons to change your pick up location and one has to double check the address before placing the order. Yes that was my bad for trusting them. I did not know they were sneaky RATS.

Very bad
February 4, 2025

Since they have a monopoly everybody tends to trust them but the reality is different than what you think first there is no customer care, if you are in trouble there is no one you can call you will have to wait for 2 days for the guy to respond, the drivers get to not come on the location and then cancel after two minutes so that they get the waiting charge when they did not even communicate. Pathetic company

Not enough safety or online security.never use Uber unless ur 100% it's Uber company your dealing with.

Abandoned At Stop
January 2, 2025

I, a lone female, was abandoned by a driver at a STOP in an unsafe area. Drove away with all of my stuff--wallet, keys, medication, work badge, etc. Thank God I still had my phone, but driver would not answer numerous calls and messages to return my things. I could not get any assistance from anyone with Uber. It got dark (unsafe area), blood pressure was through the roof (driver had my meds), so I called LYFT to take me to a relative's home. After about 2 hours, driver texted saying that he hadn't answered because his "English is bad." Gave me HIS address to come and retrieve my belongings. Used Google Translate to compose and send him message saying that HE needed to return my items to me. He did, but the damage was done. Missed work that evening, had to pay LYFT to come and get me, and blood pressure took DAYS to stabilize. Uber's response after all of this? Basically, they said, "That sucks. Did you get your stuff back? Cool, here's a $7.03 refund for the ride."

UBER is a crook
January 2, 2025

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience on December 6th. The ride was quoted at $23, but I was shockingly charged $52 instead. This isn't just an error—it feels like blatant overcharging and a complete lack of transparency.

It's unacceptable for a company of Uber's scale to mislead customers with one price, only to charge nearly double without any explanation. This experience has made me lose trust in Uber as a reliable service.
