I own a dock and keep my pontoon on the water all season. The latest wind ripped the existing cleat off the dock. I ordered these new aluminum black ones from BH-USA that are larger and have 4 mounting points. They are rock solid and have a large eye hole for a clip or to slide a rope. I was so impressed I ordered some smaller ones to put onto my pontoon boat to replace those old cleats.
Repairing a plate-style Ace boat lift my dad had installed 1967. Most components still smooth but along the way someone post-dad left the lift on and burned out the motor. Priced a replacement locally which was $700-plus motor only. Found several online sources, but BHUSA had more selection and competitive pricing combined with fast shipping. I was able to upgrade from original 3/4 hp Leeson motor to a 1 hp heavy-duty Elite motor, for less than the $700. This has the switch, wiring, and pulley so a complete and almost plug-n-play solution. It was a direct fit to the original plate and pulley-to-gear system. I was able to bolt it up, adjust the pulley alignment and tension, put the old belt on, and Lo & behold, it worked great on first plug-in. Lots of prep including scaffolding, strapping, block and tackle, a temp shelf to hold the motor while bolting, but was able to install by myself without dropping the 33 lb motor in the lake. I am female and in my young 70's, would have loved to have the big strong man helper to toss it up there, but you should not hesitate to do this yourself if you have a little mechanical skill and preparation. Really appreciate the BHUSA website and the most complete info on the products. Now I know where to look for dock and lift gear.

I opened the box today to try and install this motor and I can immediately see that the mounting bracket is bent on one corner. I can also see some scuff marks on the exterior of the motor. My guess is that the motor was dropped, landed on one corner of the mounting bracket first (which bent it) and then the main motor casing hit the floor (which scuffed the exterior paint. Given that, I am leery of even trying to get into it because dropping the motor might have damaged the motor itself, I am going to send back.
Hey had to replace my worm gear after many years of service. Ordered the parts, and replaced the gear and shaft. It was so easy because these lifts are an excellent engineering and manufacturing product. It has been a joy to use your system. Got the parts fast too..
Excellent product. Had to call customer service as lift would raise but not lower. Richard was fantastic. Immediately knew the issue which was wiring on my motor as it was wired for the drum switch I was replacing. Sent him pics of the motor wiring and he told me exactly which wires to move per the diagram on page 9. Quick fix and lift works perfectly.
My old controller got flooded in hurricane Helene. Ordered new Gem box, BH-USA sent it right out. Everything is wired up and I can get back to fishing! Gotta get a new house but at least I can fish in the mean time. Thanks BH
I ordered the 16' bunks, which require special handling, and the local trucking company took a while to get them to me. They also refused to deliver them down my driveway, so dropped them at the street. But my wife and I loaded them on our small trailer and drove them to the house. Am in the process of installing now. It is going well.
