Our trip to Portugal with Exoticca was truly unforgettable. The organization was excellent from start to finish, with smooth transportation, well‑chosen hotels, and a perfectly planned itinerary. Our guide was outstanding — knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive to the group. Thanks to him, I discovered Portugal's culture, history, and beauty in a meaningful way. I would highly recommend Exoticca to anyone looking for a memorable and well‑organized travel experience.

All my life, I've wanted to visit Egypt. What a fantastic trip! The itinerary and mix of optional excursions couldn't have been better. Our guides were over the top. This is only our second group trip; we typically plan our own trips but highly recommend this.

Our trip was during the Middle East conflict. Many advised staying away - I disagree, I would get flights that were staying away from certain airports close to the military activity, but once in country, this is fantastic and in fact, the crowds were lower and we got more personal attention from the guides. It's actually a great time to be in Egypt.

We did have to work hard prior to the trip related to rebooking flights multiple times. It was a super challenging time for all travel companies. We struggled with the universal issues everywhere — Voice menus and AI agents and generic responses. It's clearly an unusual time in the world right now, but I wish Exoticca would have invested in a surge of customer service help.

Once we hit the airport… It was smooth sailing and nothing but good memories.

I've traveled all over the world, especially the Europe over 30 times. I was very impressed with the organization and accommodations of the exotica tour. I only two negatives were one. It was difficult to talk to a human after the booking process and the Chat would not allow me to ask more than one question and I would have to wait 30 minutes before it would allow me to ask and additional question. Number two, I would've preferred a direct flight from Dallas Fort Worth to Dublin and return. This option was not given to me.

The overall experience of our Exotica trip was great! We had the most fantastic guide that I have ever had. We learned a lot of history and culture. One problem was the pickup. No agent was there when we arrived and waited 15 minutes and got another travel agent to call. She arrived 5 minutes later and then we waited another 15 or 20 minutes until she had 7 of us to put in a van. We also thought that our one bag was payed for from Canada but we paid $75 each both ways.

Peru was our second trip with Exoticca. They do it all! From selecting your flights, itinerary, time and meals (mostly). There were several early morning departures, but that was to get us acclimated to the elevation more quickly and to not miss a single thing for the day. They really have the logistics down to a science. We just get to sit back and relax and take in the country.
I would highly recommend going on a trip with Exoticca.

One of the hotel in cusco wasn't good poor service, took too long to serve the food and drinks and the rest of people in our group doesn't like the food too dry

Our trip to Turkey was excellent. Our local guide, Serhat has a background in archeology which provided the group with both insights and real life experience with the vast history of his country. Serhat's English is fairly extensive so quite conversant in his ability to provide detail and explanation of what we were seeing. He offered information in an open and candid fashion with regard to the religious dynamic of his country past and present. Serhat, in addition has a great sense of humour and a willingness to even engage in "silliness". There are pictures Serhat!. The driver, Senol was gracious and thoughtful. Although his English is limited he was engaged and kept us on time.

Of note, we were in Turkey at a time when there is an ongoing war in bordering countries yet at no time did we feel unsafe. Turkey is full of history and a great place to visit.

Overall the trip was well organized, we booked charm and for the most part it was good…accommodations were clean and comfortable, breakfast could be improved. We did all excursions that were included, plus added some additional, for the most part all were good, some were much longer then advertised which took its toll. This was our first ever group land tour. We would recommend Exoticca when looking at all inclusive packages

As a whole it was well organized and executed. Most of the guides and drivers were friendly and helpful. I was personally more interested in the Inca sites and history. We spent a lot of time visiting churches and convents. Not my thing. There were two stops to feed the animals. Unnecessary duplication. One guide that we had for Macchu Picchu was more interested in taking people's photos that in talking about the site. When asked questions he would just say that we would talk about it later. We never did see some of the more important parts of the site. Almost every drop off for flights or busses was transitioned with the guide. It was great to have someone making sure you had your tickets. However, there was one time we were just dropped off at the bus station and had to fend for ourselves (Uyuni). This time was hard because the bus ticket agent didn't speak English and we are fumbling through translating apps. In La Paz I had a 6:00 PM appointment to meet with a guide to review the next few days. He finally showed up at 6:45 PM because he decided to visit another group first at another hotel. Pretrip I was trying to book airline seats assignments and Copa kept telling me they couldn't find my reservation. I called the help desk and was put on hold to resolve the issue and waited 45 minutes on hold (Julia) before I hung up. I was never able to resolve this issue until I was checking in at the airport. Two months before the trip I was reviewing information on the website and it said that Bolivia required a visa. I spent $160 to process one only to find out that Bolivia had already dropped that requirement and the website wasn't up to date. With these exceptions the trip was overall a great experience. A lot of caring and personable people were involved. I would highly recommend this as no experience is going to be perfect.
