Temu is actively engaging in deceptive marketing and fraudulent shipping practices. They explicitly advertise that items "Ship in 2 business days" and display misleading banners claiming packages "Arrive in CA in as little as 2 business days" to secure the sale.The moment you hand over your money, the reality changes completely. My delivery timeline instantly jumped to 2 weeks, with processing alone taking 4 to 5 business days before even leaving the warehouse.When confronted about this blatant bait-and-switch, their customer service department resorted to scripted lies. Support agents promised they would "expedite the package" and do "whatever it takes" to meet the required deadline. It was a complete stall tactic. They did absolutely nothing. The package simply arrives whenever they feel like it, completely missing the promised window.This is dishonest business. Do not trust their shipping countdowns or their customer support promises. They lie to get your money and lie again to keep it.
I tried to give temu a chance but their clothes are garbage... the fabrics are useless. Seethrough, the finishing is awful, the tope of fabric is ugly.
The only thing that worth the price was a boy hoodie. What I don't get is just why the reviews say something different than the reality
I wanted to return the clothes but you have to pay for it and What they offer is a credit for 1/4 of the value.

I bought 3 pair of sandals to try the quality and I must say it's garbage, you can't put them on twice because the upper synthetic material is so thin, it's almost see thru and they don't weight nothing, materials are so light you could be surpised it's not invisible.
I also bought a casual dress and it didn't fit me, the material was so bad quality!
The thing I'd like someone to explain to me is just where these amazing reviews on their page come from, should be like Shein that you give a bad review and it doesn't appear on their site.

Update: for you to return a product, you need to pay for them, so, sending an item from the Dominican Republic to China would be ilogic; they give you a refund option but it was only for 1/4 of the order and they don't show bad reviews on their products, be aware!
This is not the first time this has happened with Temu. Previously, I accidentally mixed up return labels between my package and my daughter's package. I provided all the proof showing exactly what happened, and everything matched correctly, but customer service kept saying items were missing. That issue went on for weeks.
Now this situation happened again. This time, I clearly told customer service that I never opened the box and had no idea what happened to the item inside. I also provided proof and pictures showing that the boxes already had holes and damage when I received them.
What I do not understand is why Temu never questioned the seller about why the box was opened if I returned it unopened. Instead, they immediately accepted the seller's proof but ignored all of my proof. Why is the customer's evidence not being taken seriously?
Last time, I decided not to leave a review and just let it go, even though I lost around $50. This time, I am losing another $41. After multiple bad experiences, it is becoming very frustrating.
My whole family shops on Temu and all have their own accounts. I also recommended Temu to my sister, brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and friends. We used to enjoy shopping on Temu, but after these repeated problems and poor customer service experiences, we are seriously considering closing our accounts.

I am filing this complaint due to repeated delivery failures, misleading tracking updates, and poor customer support involving Temu and their third-party shipping carriers (including SpeedX/SwiftX) in Rockwall, TX.
Over the past month, I have experienced multiple delivery problems with Temu orders. Packages were repeatedly marked with conflicting statuses such as "Delivered," "No Access," "Delivery Failed," and "Delivery Anomaly," even when other carriers successfully delivered packages to my address and secured Amazon locker on the exact same days.
One package was marked "Delivered at front door," yet the delivery photo clearly showed it left unsecured in a public apartment mailroom/common area where lost packages are placed and where anyone could easily take it. It was not delivered to my actual door, mailbox, or Amazon locker despite my delivery instructions clearly stating 4th floor room 4037. I never received a locker code, and the package disappeared.
Another package was later left sitting openly on top of mailboxes instead of inside the secure locker system. Meanwhile, USPS and Amazon deliveries to the same address were properly secured with no issue. This proves the location is deliverable and secure handling is possible when carriers follow procedures.
I also attempted to cancel orders before shipment due to these ongoing issues, but Temu stated cancellations had to be "approved by the merchant," even before shipping fully progressed.
What frustrates me most is that customer support repeatedly acknowledged delivery problems and inconsistencies, yet "specialists" later denied refunds or reshipments and simply told me to "check around the property" for missing packages. Customers should not be forced to conduct their own investigations because carriers leave packages unsecured or mishandle deliveries.
I paid for proper delivery service, not for packages to be abandoned in public areas with high theft risk. The repeated use of unreliable third-party carriers, inconsistent tracking information, refusal to properly resolve issues, and inability to stop deliveries already under carrier control has made this one of the worst online shopping experiences I have had.

Avoid Temu – terrible customer service from * and missing promotional credit
I had nearly £40 in promotional credit on my Temu account. Due to an issue on day 3, I was unable to retrieve or use it properly. Instead of only stopping around £2, Temu removed approximately £28 by day 7.
I contacted customer support and dealt with a representative called *. I requested that the orders be stopped while the matter was investigated, but * refused to help properly. No clear explanation was given and absolutely no compensation or goodwill gesture was offered despite the inconvenience and financial loss caused.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have had from an online shopping platform. Temu appears happy to take customers' money but unwilling to resolve problems fairly when issues arise.
I have now advised family, friends, and clients to avoid Temu and instead use alternatives such as AliExpress or other more reliable platforms. I will also be closing my Temu account once I use the remaining credit.

They have shipped it but would not marked as shipped so i did not get the 100 pounds and Temu keep fobbing me off Caveat emptor they are scammers this the second time i blame myself for being scammed twice

I am extremely disappointed with Temu and feel completely unprotected as a customer.
My order (PO-004-06596637348473065) contained several defective and non-conforming products:
A pan lid that arrived completely bent and unusable.
A faulty mirror.
I ordered two necklaces but received only one.
A pair of glasses that were extremely small and nothing like the seller's description.
But the most serious issue was the concealer, which caused painful breakouts and a strong allergic reaction on my skin. I had to pay for a medical consultation and medication because of it.
When I contacted Temu customer service to request compensation for the physical and financial damage, they refused to take responsibility, claiming their product was not the cause of my reaction—even though the symptoms appeared immediately after using it. They completely avoided accountability and offered no real solution.
This experience left me very disappointed. Temu shows no respect for consumers, no quality control, and absolutely no protection when something goes wrong.
My experience with Temu has been so frustrating and disheartening that it has completely changed my perception of the company. I never expected to deal with such an unprofessional and unresponsive service, especially after placing an order worth more than five hundred dollars. What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into weeks of unnecessary stress, unanswered questions, and complete disregard for customer concerns.
I placed my order more than a month ago, fully expecting that any delays would at least be accompanied by proper communication. Instead, I received nothing—no real updates, no accurate tracking information, and no sign that my order would ever arrive. What made the entire situation far worse was the shocking lack of human customer support. Whenever I reached out to Temu to ask about my missing package, I was met with the same repetitive, generic, AI-generated responses that did absolutely nothing to address my concerns. It felt like speaking to a wall.
The automated messages didn't just feel unhelpful—they felt dismissive, as if my issue didn't matter at all. The responses were clearly designed to save Temu time and effort, not to actually assist customers. They repeated the same empty reassurances without offering a single useful detail. At no point did I feel that a real person was willing to acknowledge the situation, let alone take responsibility for it. For a company handling millions of orders, you would expect at least a basic level of customer service, but Temu has failed even at that.
What makes this ordeal even more upsetting is the timing. Because Temu failed to deliver my order on time—and failed even more spectacularly in providing support—I ended up missing out on major seasonal offers. I lost the opportunity to shop during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the Christmas sales season, when the best deals of the year are available. I had planned gifts and purchases around that order, trusting that it would arrive or that Temu would at least communicate delays in advance. Instead, I was left stuck waiting for a package that never came while watching every major holiday sale pass by. The financial loss and inconvenience were significant, and Temu's carelessness directly caused it.
As if all of this wasn't enough, Temu then attempted to "compensate" me with a ridiculous five-dollar credit. For an order worth over five hundred dollars, that so-called compensation was not just inadequate—it was insulting. Five dollars doesn't come close to the value of what I lost, both in money and in the chance to take advantage of holiday deals. On other occasions, Temu offers discount coupons as compensation, which is even more frustrating because they require customers to spend more money instead of addressing the original problem. It is the opposite of customer care.
Comparing this to Amazon only highlights the massive gap in reliability and responsibility. Every time I've had a delay or issue with Amazon, they immediately take ownership. They offer full refunds, clear communication, and real human support. They make customers feel valued and respected. Temu, on the other hand, seems to hide behind automated messages and minimal gestures that do nothing to solve real problems.
What concerns me most is what this says about Temu's business practices. A company that expands this quickly should invest in quality support systems and transparent customer service. Instead, Temu appears to rely almost entirely on automation, even in situations where customers urgently need real assistance. This is not how a trustworthy company operates. It shows a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and a lack of accountability when things go wrong.
After everything I've experienced—the missing order, the unhelpful automated replies, the lost Christmas and Black Friday opportunities, and the insulting five-dollar "compensation"—I can say with confidence that Temu has lost my trust entirely. I no longer feel safe making significant purchases from a company that treats its customers as if their time, money, and concerns are worthless.
I strongly warn anyone considering placing important or high-value orders with Temu: think carefully. What looks like a good deal at first may end up costing you far more in stress, missed opportunities, and unresolved issues. My experience has been more than enough for me to decide that I will not be shopping with Temu again, and I hope others do not have to go through what I did.

I have been a customer of Temu pretty much since its inception.
Recently I noted posted costs added- when they claim free shipping.
Prices have crept up to a level that other online shopping sites are cheaper and provide far better quality.
Items I have ordered frequently do not match images or descriptions. Sizes are wrong and some items delivered are clearly seconds or worse.
Coupons offered when using your phone to place the order do not work-if they do items are left in you basket and not fulfilled meaning if you still want these items you need to make the order up to 20 Euro again before being able to place the order.
The special offers are in fact far from special and in my opinion scams.
I spoke to Isabelle who was useless and unable to answer any questions I had. She placed me onto an apparent manager Danielle who was also useless and unable to provide answers to my questions.
Between Isabelle and Danielle and their lack of customer service they have lost a customer.
I now understand why their rating on Trust Pilot is so bad.
One star is way too generous.
I am sure Temu will leave an unmeaning bulk standard reply to my review- but this is the thing, they have all the information required to deal with this issue.
NO customer service is not of importance to them and NO they will never follow up on the problems experienced.

Spent thousands of euros on TEMU, earned €340 in credits + coupons. The moment I try to use them, 18 consecutive orders are auto-cancelled with the same copy-paste: "Automatic refund issued by Temu due to suspicious activity."
My account isn't banned — just open enough to take my money, not open enough to let me spend my credits.
For weeks I warned them, asked for a real explanation, offered identity checks — everything. In return: boilerplate AI replies, phantom "escalations," no assurance future orders would go through… and trolling like "have a nice day and don't forget to laugh a lot."
Translation: stall the customer, exhaust them, neutralize their credits.
Why this should worry other buyers:
Your credits/coupons can be effectively nullified by endless "automatic cancellations."
No accountability, no clarity, no fix.
Wasted time, missed deals, credits stranded — plus a cheery reminder to "laugh a lot."
My ask is basic: let me use my credits/coupons or state the exact issue and fix it. Until that happens: 1 star.

I have just ordered a $200 bike, but the DELIVERY misplaced it in my driveway instead of placing it in my front porch. As a result, it was stolen. I came home only a few hours after it was delivered. They take no responsibility no accountability in resolving this issue. They will deny your request for refund or replacement. I filed the police report and I'm filing dispute with my bank, their customer service is Useless in resolving issues. They will refer you to a claims department, but they never talk to you. It's an automated response I require purchasing from Temu should've purchased the same product from Amazon. They are pretty very much like a Chinese e-commerce company. That's what they do in China as well. But then again that's a lot less frequent in China because there are tons of surveillance camera, but not in the United States. This company still keeps the same operating process as in China. Don't buy anything expensive from them. You are taking a risk.

I had a horrible experience with Temu. They offered free gifts as part of a promotion, which I followed all the steps for. After completing everything required, they canceled the freebies without warning and then blamed me for the cancellation – claiming I didn't follow the rules, which is completely false. I did everything correctly. This kind of bait-and-switch tactic is extremely shady. It's one thing to cancel a promotion, but another to accuse the customer and refuse to take responsibility. The customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly not trained to resolve issues—just to deflect blame. This platform feels like a scammy cash grab masked as a legitimate marketplace. If they can't honor their own promotions, how can anyone trust them with their money?

I returned a defective item worth $80 (I only tried it once and sent it back in perfect condition). I paid Rs 1,400 after Temu's checkout promised 3 FREE GIFTS for orders > Rs 1,000. The gifts vanished from my confirmation, the spend target secretly jumped to Rs 4,400, and the bargaining counter froze at Rs 0.01 (video proof). Support admitted I was at 98 % but confessed staff "cannot intervene" and offered Rs 700 credit instead of the items. Yesterday the event page suddenly displayed "Sorry, you're not eligible for this activity" – retroactive denial while I was at 98 %. Screenshots, screen-recordings and agent chat logs saved. Zero stars would still be generous – save your money and your friends' invites.

One star. Item arrived broken. I reported it immediately with photos and video. I followed every instruction and returned the item. UPS shows the package in transit and scanned. Support keeps repeating that they will not refund until they inspect it. No timeline. No accountability. No supervisor ownership. I asked them to process the refund now since the carrier has the package and the item arrived damaged. Their response did not change after multiple chats. I am now out both the product and the money. This has been a frustrating waste of time for what should be a simple refund. I will file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau and dispute the charge with my card issuer if this is not resolved immediately. If you are considering ordering here, be aware that returns and refunds may be slow and scripted. Pay with a credit card, keep screenshots, and track your return. I will update this review if a full refund is issued promptly, including shipping and taxes.

I had to use Temu customer service a few times today and I noticed a few things, every agents has an American name, when they are in China, every response was answered the same and they can't resolve literally anything they just repeat the same things. It's obvious Temu is going for automation which doesn't have you when you need to return an item and the courier won't take it. I had to escalate to PayPal. My other issue was waiting on a refund that is supposed to be issued today and hasn't been. When a retailer becomes this much of a hassle I won't bother.

Very disappointed with Temu. My orders were delayed and did not arrive on time, even though I paid and counted on them for my son's birthday. Been using Temu since February 2025 and my experience has been extremely frustrating. Over and over, I've either not received my items or received incomplete orders. The pattern feels intentional. Misleading Discounts: I was supposed to get a 20% discount. My cart was $50.25 with shipping included, but when I checked out, the total suddenly jumped to $75 — the "discount" and a few fees was added back in. Return Fees Out of Proportion: When I try to return items, Temu charges $8 - $ 16.00 for return shipping, even though the original shipping fee was only $2.99. They don't use the same companies that poorly deliver our items to return them. And even though you could return it the same day the merchant will claim that the item is damaged or you stole some parts out when False Advertising: Sellers advertise two-piece outfits but only send one piece, like a top with no matching bottom. Unresponsive Delivery Companies: Some deliveries go through companies like GOFO that don't answer their phones. Their website queues you as "Customer #300" for hours. Endless Escalations, No Resolution: Temu offers store credits instead of proper refunds. You use the credit to buy another item — and that one doesn't arrive either. They repeatedly apologize and "escalate" the case, but nothing changes. Slow and Separate Shipping: They often make you pay separate shipping fees for each item, and despite promising delivery within 7–14 days, I've waited over a month. Refund Delays: I canceled an item I ordered on July 31,2025, and I'm still waiting for the money to be added back to my credit card. In my experience, if you order more than twice a month, you won't get half your order. I've lost a lot of money dealing with Temu. At this point, I believe their app should be removed from U.S. app stores. They don't seem interested in actually fulfilling customer orders — just taking payments.you've only returned exactly what they sent. It feels like the delivery companies and the merchants have some type of scam going on.

Answer: When there ready. Maybe never. They are sending me robot answers with the same response. I have to take a account with temu to act as my refund. Y would I do that? They not only sent me garbage, but left me with a $25 dry cleaner bill from the dye on the PKG that came of on my pants and shirt.
