I had hoped that I would find groceries for my carnivore diet. The do carry extremely expensive meats but not the other groceries I need for my diet. If they carry the products you need, it's probably worth a membership because they do price matching. Unfortunately, you can't find out what they carry without purchasing a membership. At least you can cancel within 30 days if you don't find what you're looking for.

I've been subscribed to thrive for a while, and at first I loved it. It was convenient, the sales were good, and I liked the product recommendations. It's good until there's an issue, and then it's impossible. I placed a fairly large order recently. The frozen box arrived fine, however the pantry items were never delivered. I contacted customer service, which is just an AI bot, and they sent a replacement. I have never had a good experience with lasership, and thrive won't let you choose another carrier, or deliver to a PO Box to make sure there's some sort of accountability for the delivery. That replacement box also never came. It was not stolen, as there were multiple packages from other carriers in the mail room that were left untouched, including a neighbor's frozen box from thrive that was delivered by FedEx. I contacted customer service again (the AI bot), and they were going to escalate it to "make sure it doesn't happen again" before sending another replacement shipment. After 2 days with no word I reached out again, and immediately asked to speak to a human. After much resistance from the bot, I was finally put through. Customer service had no record of anything being escalated, or the AI chats. They asked if I wanted a replacement or refund, and I asked for a replacement. I just wanted my order. They said they would still escalate if I wanted, and I said yes because I don't want this to keep happening. When I asked how long turnaround on something like this is, they could not tell me. I asked ballpark, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, multiple months.? Just so I knew when to call back again if I hadn't heard. They just said again they didn't know, so I requested the refund instead. The idea of a company of this size not having some sort of service level agreement for how long issues take to resolve is absolutely insane. It's been a week, still no word. Not even a confirmation email, so I'm glad I changed my mind and asked for the refund.
If thrive is going to charge membership fees, the least they could do is put some process in place to make sure members get somewhat passable customer service.
They also often sell out of things and it takes forever to restock, if they even do.

My box was way too heavy on my first order. Needed to be in two boxes. It was very difficult for me to manage from the lobby of my building to my apartment.
Also chips need to be protected so they are not crushed by jars during stransit.
Otherwise great care to protecting jars from being damaged during transit.

Despite 3 attempts to remove an item from my cart the Thrive checkout continue to add it and would not remove it.

The only thing that I wish thrive market had is letting you know what items are not EBT. Took me awhile to get my cart together but I pretty much got that. Most of the candy items are not eligible for EBT. Though I am very grateful that an organic grocery app has EBT very grateful

I've compared prices to the grocery store and the prices are higher for the same item in the physical grocery store. It doesnt make sense to create an extra expense for what, theres no savings. You can easily compare the items to other stores just by visiting online thru each stores apps. Thrive is expensive. It doesn't make sense to pay the $60 yearly fee and pay higher prices! Then for cold items the price is even higher for shipping. So no I don't recommend Thrive at all. I do not like Thrive market.

I am in a multi-year battle with Thrive as they will not cancel my account and keep charging my card. I do not recommend doing business with them at all. I don't recall making any purchase with them because they are overpriced.

I had this app for a while and actually left it (due to cost) for a while only to return later. My only complaint is the membership fee being a little expensive but I use it so much now that I find it to be worth it. Select items I have found cheaper on store shelves (but of different quantities so I couldn't get them matched) but most things I find are competitively priced and the quality is always great. I love their brand of items for the value and I love having a place to looks for "safe" and healthy options for my family. I have had a few issues with shipping (received items that were damaged) BUT the customer service is simple, quick and very fair. I have gotten a refund for something I didn't notice was damaged until months later, they still honored it. The app itself is easy to navigate and search. It is sad when you find a product you like and they no longer carry it - but the manufacturer must have just stopped making it because I can't find it anywhere else either, so not really their fault. Shipping has always been fast and the items are usually packaged with care. If I have an item that is damaged upon receipt, they make it right.

I absolutely love how easy Thrive Market has made it for me! I have celiac disease so I can not have gluten. I simply go onto Thrive Market, put in gluten free and find everything from simple snacks to frozen raviolis!
